2027 Sea-Doo Spark vs. Spark X Trixx: Which One to Choose?

Quick Answer

Spark or Spark X Trixx: what's the difference?

Both watercraft share the Polytec Spark hull, the Rotax 1000 ACE engine, a 30 L fuel tank and a 117 cm width. The Spark comes in a for-2 version (60 or 90 hp) and a for-3 version (90 hp), with iBR (Intelligent Brake & Reverse). The Spark X Trixx is made for tricks: a 110 hp engine, the iDF debris-free pump on top of iBR, and a for-1 version with a Freestyle seat, extended trim system, step wedges and an adjustable handlebar riser; it also comes in a for-3 version. Pick the Spark for cruising and family fun, the Spark X Trixx if you want to play and do tricks.

The Spark is Sea-Doo's lightweight watercraft, and the Spark X Trixx is its version designed for tricks on the water. Both use the same hull and the same Rotax 1000 ACE engine, but they're not aimed at the same rider: BRP presents the Spark as a light, playful watercraft for summer fun, and the Spark X Trixx as "a playground on the water" for wheelies and tricks.

This comparison relies only on BRP's 2027 model-year data for dealers. Both models come in several versions (for 1, 2 or 3 people): we name the version whenever a figure changes.

Why Choose the Spark

The Spark keeps things simple, with two power levels (60 or 90 hp) on the for-2 version. It's also the lighter of the two in the for-2 version: 198 kg (437 lb) with the 60 hp. The for-3 version adds a seat and a larger rear platform with LinQ attachment points, handy for sharing the ride.

The Convenience Package (front storage bin kit, boarding step, RF D.E.S.S. key and VTS Variable Trim System) is standard on the 90 hp Spark for 2 and optional on the Spark for 3. Total storage reaches 44.7 L with the optional front bin.

Why Choose the Spark X Trixx

The Spark X Trixx has the more powerful engine of the two (110 hp) and equipment designed for tricks. On the for-1 version, the Freestyle seat, extended trim system, step wedges and adjustable handlebar riser are designed, according to BRP, to make wheelies and tricks easier. The iDF debris-free pump is added to iBR.

The for-3 version keeps the 110 hp engine with more room and a larger rear platform with LinQ attachment points. The X model comes standard with a boarding step, with an optional BRP portable audio system, coloured deck and speed regulator.
